Hey, I’ve got a question for Chris…

How secure is all this? Who can get access?
If I set up a page for my seniors how do i make sure only they have access?
Can I password some things?

Hope you don’t mind– this is more of a POST than a PAGE– pages are for permanent reference. Posts are like your online conversation.

Anyway . . . ANYONE can see this blogsite on the internet, BUT you can password protect individual pages. That’s what I’ve done with info for choir members on the Belle a Cappella site. That page has mp3s of the kids performances which I want them to learn from, but I don’t want the general public to hear.

Does that answer your question? Incidentally, this is a GREAT use of a POST– to ask a question, so others can add comments and questions on the same topic!

i thought maybe we could all just pop our questions here… if your happy to answer them here of course.

so how do i password protect an individual page? (or is that still coming and im jumping the gun?)

thanks again – this is all so useful and full of potential!!!

I’m not sure if you can password-protect your entire site, but I know you ARE able to password-protect pages and posts. Its easy:

You need to be in the EDIT view of your post or page

Look for PAGE PASSWORD on the right and hit the “+” sign

    Add your password

DONE! And don’t worry about forgetting your password—as administrator, you will always have access to it through the EDIT function of your page or blog.
